Congratulations UL Art Students!

The Stifel Arts center held the 29th annual regional student art exhibition on Thursday, January 11. It was judged by  Kyle Ethan Fischer.
Union local had an excellent presentation by the art students for their work. The comments and encouraging words given by the curators and judges from both the show and scholarship judges from WVU and WLU was humbling and very gracious towards all of our students and their talents! Braden Robinson was our trendsetter this year being awarded the best in show and both scholarships to WVU and WLU ! This had never been achieved before since these full scholarships came into existence just 6 years ago from WVU.  We humbly thank  WVU and West liberty University for this opportunity on behalf of  Braden .
The turn out from our students at the reception was extremely supportive. They cheered on not only the other Union Local students but also for the other schools who entered as well. The show was open to any school within a 50 mile radius of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia from the Stifle Center. Fourteen high schools were represented at the show.
The show goes through February 16th, if you have any questions please call the Stifle Center at 1-304-242-7000.
Don’t forget…you can follow the Union Local Art Department on Facebook to keep up with our amazing art students and their projects!
